A few QUICK HINTS to get you started

When making items for newborns, especially hats, PLEASE use soft baby, sport, or 'Simply Soft' type yarns.
♥ Newborns, especially preemies, have delicate skin - avoid using thick or chunky yarn.
Always check with your local hospitals to find out current needs, before making anything.
Ask the hospital where you are donating for suggestions on patterns to use, colors, sizes.
♥ To fit a newborn make the hat stretchy and large enough to fit on a grapefruit.
