Bev's Bread Pudding
8 torn up slices of bread
1 egg
1 tsp of vanilla
a sprinkle of salt
½ cup of brown sugar
½ tsp of cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp of allspice
1 cup raisins
Milk enough to moisten all the bread-
about 1 ½ cups
Place all of these in a bowl, and gently
stir together till all is moist. Place in a buttered bread pan, and add
a little more milk if needed. Place a pat of butter in the center of the
'pudding'.
Bake for 1 hour in a 375 F oven or until
brown on the top and the center is moist but not gooey.
