Bev's Christmas Granny Square Stocking

Copyright Beverly Qualheim 1980, 2015

Bev's StockingThis is a really easy stocking to make, and it holds lots of goodies :-)
You need to make 8 granny squares with different Christmas colors.  I used 4 ply worsted  Red Heart yarn for this one and it has held up for several years now. Also, use a size H hook

Make 8 of these and lay them out as the design above shows.

Bev's stocking edgeTo join:
Whip stitch the squares to each other to form 2 'boot' shapes.  Now sc all around each stocking/boot shape using a contrasting color - be sure to sc across the top of each too.

To finish:
Lay the 2 'boot shapes' on top of each other, and whip stitch together.
