CRANBERRY-ORANGE BREAD
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 TBsp melted butter
1/3 c. orange juice
1/2 c. water
2 cups flour
2 tsp double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp grated orange rind
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. halved cranberries
Preheat oven to 350 f.  Cream sugar and egg together.
Add dry ingreds. alternately with liquid ingredients and mix well.  Stir in the orange rind, nuts, and cranberries by hand.  Divide batter evenly into 3 greased and floured loaf pans.  Pans should be about 1/2 full. Bake at 350 f for 45 mins.  Tops of loaves will be nicely browned when ready.
Makes 3 loaves.
