Bev's Quick Slippers
Hook size G or H (I used H) 4 ply yarn-- scraps (2 oz)
Ch 33 (or as long as the foot)
DC in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, (go thru both loops) ch 3 and turn.
Now DC in each dc across, ch 3 turn.
Keep doing this till you have 12 - 13 rows, end off with a 12" tail of yarn.
Thread tail onto a sewing needle and weave yarn through one end of the oblong, pull tightly to gather, then whip stitch down folded slipper to a bit farther than half way. Finish off and cut yarn. Whip stitch heel. You can add a pom pom if  you like.
These do crochet up quickly and you could do them in any size by varying the number of sts and rows. You can also add a dc cuff.

Size 13 Knitting Needles. 3 oz of Lion Brand Homespun, or use 2 strands worsted weight yarn.
You can use up your scraps and make a beautiful multi colored hat also!
Large eyed needle
Cast on 48 sts
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Purl across.
Row 3: K 1, P 1 across.
Row 4: purl.
Repeat these 4 rows until hat measures 10 1/2" Ending with the purl row. On the Knit row, k2 tog, all the way across.
Knit 2 tog across.
Cut yarn with an 18" tail.  Thread this into large eyed needle, carefully pull the remaining sts off the knitting needle and thread the sewing needle and yarn through these and pull tightly to gather the top of hat.  Fold hat in hat and stitch side seam of hat.  You can add a pompom if you wish.

Bev's Really Warm Crocheted EarWarmers (adult size)
Size K (10.5mm) Hook
2 yarns - about an ounce of each
Using both yarns together, ch 10.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each one across. (9 sts)
Row 2: (sc in back loop only of each st) Sc in 2nd st from hook and in each st across- making sure you get that one on the end! (keeping 9 sts)
Repeat row 2 until warmer will fit around your head.
Finish off leaving a 7" tail of yarn, and whip st ear warmers closed.

Bev's Cozy Crocheted Scarf
Size H hook & 2 oz 4 ply worsted weight yarn
Ch 22
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in each ch  across. Ch 1 and turn.
Row 2-140: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in each ch across, ch 1 and turn.  Final row, end off with 3" tail of yarn.  Weave in tail.

Bev's knitt-mitts!
4 oz of 4 ply worsted weight yarn will make 2 pairs (or doubling the yarn will make one warmer pair.)
Size 8 regular needles
1 yarn sewing needle
(add 4 sts and 4 rows to make MEN's)

MITTENS:  Make 2 the same
Start at the cuff and cast on 32 sts.  Now work in a ribbing of k2, p2 for 18 rows.
Knit across the next row, increasing 4 sts evenly across the row.
Purl 1 row
Knit 1 row
Purl 1 row
Start Increases for the THUMB
Knit 17 sts, place a marker on needle, increase 1 st in each of the next 2 sts, place a marker on needle - 4 sts between markers, knit to end of row.
Purl 1 row.
Continue in stockinette st, (knit one row, purl one row) increasing
1st after 1st marker and before 2nd marker on knit rows only until there are 14 sts between markers, knit to end of row.
Purl 1 row
Knit 1 row without increasing.
Next row:  Purl 18 and slip these sts onto a stitch holder, purl next 12 sts of thumb, slip rem. 18 sts onto a 2nd stitch holder.
Work in stockinette st for 10 rows.
Next row knit 2 tog. across row.
Cut yarn leaving a 6" tail of yarn.  Weave the yarn through the remaining thumb sts and fasten.  Sew the thumb seam.
Attach yarn at beginning of 2nd sts holder on wrong side of work and purl to the end of the row.
Next row: Knit across 18 sts, knit the 18 sts from the 1st st holder   (36 sts on needle)
Knit across row (decreasing 2 sts on this row only.)
Purl across row
Continue in stockinette st for 22 more rows (or your desired hand length)
Row 1: *Knit 2sts together , knit 2, repeat from * across row, ending
knit 2 sts together.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: *Knit 2 sts together, knit 1, repeat from *across row, ending
Row 4: Purl 2 together across row.  Cut yarn leaving 12" yarn for seaming the mitten.  Draw yarn through remaining sts and sew seam at side.
Make mitten #2 the same way.
