Yarn: Worsted Weight (I used Wool Ease)
Keyplate #3 on ISM or USM
    Crochet Hook - Size J

    Open cast on 76 stitches.

    Knit 36 rows  COR

Using your three pronged tool, cast your first row on your needles.  Work from left to right, using weights to keep stitching from coming off the
    needles.

Every needle should now have two loops on them.

    Knit 42 rows.

To cast off, weave yarn through every loop so that the end may be gathered.

Gather top of hat and graft/sew sides together.

For loops at the top of the hat, using a "J" crochet hook, crochet one long chain 2 yards long.

Wrap around 7 inch piece of card board but make sure that the ends of the chain are in the MIDDLE of the board and not on the ends.   Bring yarn needle through the middle of the loops so that the ends of each end of the chain are also on the needle.  Secure loops to the top of the hat!
