Aunt B's Ruffled Preemie Hat

Materials
Small amount of ribbon and a ribbon rose
Small - Fingering Yarn - Size F hook
Medium - Baby Sport Yarn - Size G hook
Large - 4ply Super Soft Yarn - Size H hook

Gauge is not necessary. Make them in a variaty of yarns and hooks. Our
precious preemies come in all sizes :o)

Row 1...Ch 30, join with a sl st to first ch without twisting chain. Dc
in joining ch and next 29 chs (ribbon row), join, ch 3, turn
Row
2...(2dcs in next st, dc in next st) around, 2dcs in last st, join,
ch3, turn (45 sts)
Row 3-8...dc in each st, join, ch3, turn at end of row 8, join in front loop
Row 9...(ch 3, sc in front loop of next st) around ending with ch1, hdc
in first st.
Row 10-11...(ch 3, sc in next ch3 loop) around ending with ch1, hdc in last loop fasten off

Rim under ruffle:
Attach yarn to unused loops of row 9, sc around for 4 rows without
joining or turning. fasten off.
Run ribbon around Row 1 and pull together loosly and tie a bow. add bow and flower at top of ruffle as shown.
