This pattern will fit most average ladies feet. Entire slipper all be worked in garter stitch

Place your foot on a piece of paper and mark the measurements for the TOP and BOTTOM of the foot (See Picture)

4 oz Red Heart Heather Bulky
Size 8 needles
H crochet hook-optional
4 sts = 1” 4 ridge = 1”

INSTRUCTIONS: NOTE: slip the first st on all rows, follow instructions to last stitch, knit last stitch
CO 16 sts
Work 8 rows
Next row…dec 1 on each side (14sts)
Work 2 more rows
Next row…dec 1 on each side (12 sts)
Work until piece measures ______ (TOP)
(dec on each side, k 1 row) until there is 6 sts
Next row…(k1, inc) 3 times (9sts)
(inc on each side, k 1 row) until there is 17 sts
Work 17 more rows
(inc on each side, k 4 rows) 5 times, inc on each side (27sts)
Continue working on the 27 stitches until the piece from tip of toe to heel measures inch less than BOTTOM
K12, k2tog,k1, k2tog, k12
K11, k2tog,k1, k2tog, k11
K10, k2tog,k1, k2tog, k10
Bind off.

Fold slipper at toe area, do not stretch, and mark with a pin on both sides of the back where beginning CO starts. Move the pin up 1 inch. This will be eased at toe area when sewing. Pin the TOP at the placement of the new pins.
Sew from top to bottom, matching stitches…ease the extra length into the last 2 inches at toe area. Sew both sides in the same manner. Sew heel seam.

Optional…Crochet even around toe area to look like loafers. (as in picture)
Using the H hook, crochet around the opening for 3 or 4 rows, making it tighter where you need it.
