BEV's CROCHETED DISHCLOTH--very quick and easy!

Copyright Beverly A. Qualheim 2002, 2013)

Size I or J crochet hook (an H can be used if you like a tighter weave)
1 oz Crochet cotton

  • Ch 35
  • Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1 and turn.(32 sts)
  • Row 2: Sc 2nd ch from hook and in each sc across row - working in the back loops only so you get a nice ridge to help get those dishes extra clean. Ch 1 and turn.
  • Row 3-26: Repeat row 2.

  • To finish: Leave as is or sc in each st around cloth and make 3 sc at each corner. This is a great way to use up small pieces of crochet cotton and make pretty cloths.

(Helpful hint- if your dishcloths start to smell musty, simply dampen them and place them in the microwave for 2 minutes to 'dry'.  This helps kill the bacterial can takes away the smell)  Simple dischloths are not only easy to make and pretty, but they are so useful and who doesn't need a drawerful?
Make a bunch of these and then place Bev's Dishcloth wrappers around them to give away as gifts. They are great for any occasion!
