Grandma's Gloves

Materials: worsted weight yarn
size 8 needles
(Michelle's note: "I put a space in the directions between each finger. When you get to the K 12 rows, that's the thumb")

Cast on 38 stitches (45 if you want them long enough to cuff).
Knit 6 rows (3 ridges).
Cast off first 12 stitches; slip the stitch on the right needle to the left needle so all stitches are on one needle; turn.

Cast on 14 stitches.
K 6 rows.
Cast off 12 stitches; sl the st on the R needle to the L needle; turn.

Cast on 14 st.
K 6 rows.
Cast off 14 st; sl the st on the R needle to the L needle; turn.

Cast on 12 st.
K 6 rows.
Cast off 20 st; sl the st on the R needle to the L needle; turn.

Cast on 12 st.
K 12 rows.
Cast off 12 st; sl the st on the R needle to the L needle; turn.

Cast on 20 st.
K 6 rows.
Cast off 12 st; sl the st on the R needle to the L needle; turn.

Cast on 14 st.
K 6 rows.
Cast off 14 st; sl the st on the R needle to the L needle; turn.

Cast on 12 st.
K 6 rows.
Cast off 14 st; sl the st on the R needle to the L needle; turn.

Cast on 12 st.
K 6 rows.
Cast off.

Fold glove in half and sew together.
Make another one!
