Blanket for Baby or Lap Robe
Pattern sent to Bev Qualheim and used with permission from Sheila/Irisheyez
Gauge with G hook and baby/sport weight yarn: 3 rows = 1" and 5 chains = 1"  (it's hard to figure crocheted sts gauge in this pattern as they lean sidways)

 Crocheted laproabe/baby blanket pattern
Use a size H crochet hook with a soft worsted weight yarn......Looks especially pretty with a varigated yarn.
For baby or lap robe-  Chain 180 loosely.

(Bev's notes:  NEWBORN SIZE: 34" I am using baby yarn and a size G hook and chain 130 loosely, to start and it measures about 34" across)

2nd Row:  3 DC in 1st sc. *in next ch 3 space work 1 sc. ch 3, 3 DC* repeat from * across ending sc in top of ch 3 of previous row.  Ch 3, turn.

Repeat Row 2 until desired length. DO NOT FINISH OFF!

ENDING: Continue to work pattern on the 3 straight sides making 1 sc, ch 3, 3 DC in  the same place they were made.
