My dear friend Millie Hernandez helps the "Manna of Life Soup kitchen" in the Bronx, NY by making warm clothing and blankets for the soup kitchen tenents.

If you can help with a $ monetary $ donation for food and supplies please CLICK HERE!

You can mail items to Millie all year but especially starting in September and all through the winter and spring (into March) they need 100's of warm, handmade hats, headbands, scarves, socks, mittens, gloves, blankets, sweaters, in all sizes from babies, Kids, and teens to the elderly.  Plus, washcloths, soap sacks and soap, toiletries and of course, toys would be GREAT and even gently used or new clothes of all sizes are very needed.  Darker colored yarn works best as many don't have access to washing machines.

Occasionally the soup kitchen runs out of things most needed like scarves!  Millie's goal is to make cartain they have all the warm clothes they need all the time!   That's how we can help .  Just make the items you enjoy making and mail them to Millie and she and her husband will take them to the Soup Kitchen.
