Soap Sack with tie for Millie's Soup Kitchen

Abbreviations: Rnd = round; Ch = chain; sl st = slip stitch; dc = double crochet
Less than 1 oz crochet cotton.
Size G or H hook (depending on how tightly you crochet)
Size = Approximately 4" across the middle, and 5" tall.
OR NEW LARGER SOAP SACK in crochet!!
Starting at the base of the soap sack...
Rnd 1: Chain 3 (does not count as a stitch), dc into the first chain, then make 12 double crochets inside that first chain. Join with a slip stitch in top of 1st actual double crochet of previous round (not into the ch 3). (you have12 double crochets)
Rnd 2: Chain 3, dc into the base of the Ch 3. * 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, Repeat from * around making sure to dc into the last stitch and the base of the ch 3. (18 sts)
Join with a slip stitch in top of 1st dc of previous rnd.
Rnd 3: Repeat round 2 (27 dcs)
Rnds 4 - 9: Ch 3 and make a dc in the base of the ch 3, then dc in each dc around, joining with a sl st in the top of the 1st dc of the previous round. (Do NOT dc into base of the ch 3 of the previous round). 27 dcs
Round 10: *ch1,
sc into next st. Repeat from * around top of the soap sack. Sl st
into last st.
(Optional: Chain 15 and sl st into base of ch 15 to form a
loop.)
